Behind the Scenes
Throughout the course of their exciting journey as father & son, Steve and Louie Appleyard are the exciting creative force of The Tinderbox Experience. They have been jamming along together since Louie was the tender age of five, and have a solid friendship based upon love and trust. "We have a right laugh, I'm always pulling Louies' leg and always make sure he gets the message.. and sometimes he makes sure that I get the message too.. the little bleeder.. ha !".

Currently living above a hair salon where Steve & Louie produced the album Moons of love and war, Steve turned his home into a recording studio and named it "Happy Apples Home Studios". Unfortunately due to several bouts of covid throughout the band along with personal issues for all members, the album took 10 months to complete, but we got there and all who contributed should be very proud of this creative achievement. Lead Vocals
Steve Appleyard is a singer songwriter from Wakefield and considers himself to be very privileged to have just produced The Tinderbox Experiences' first album "Moons of love and war" alongside his awesome son Louie.
In 1991 he wrote his first song whilst working at a lead smelting factory at Thorpe where he also lived.
"This has been a long journey and it's great to finally get this album together.. I guess that I was just waiting for my son to get here !" SA.
LOUIE "THE STORK" APPLEYARD - SON
Lead Guitarist (& Drummer if called for)
Louie Appleyard has been learning the guitar since the age of five. Tutored locally in Wakefield by Steve Walters, Louie excelled performing on jam nights that his tutor would put on for his pupils. His guitar play came on leaps and bounds over the years and Louie started to excel. He co-created several songs on the album alongside his dad Steve and is a very talented, fun-loving, good kid who has a bright future in front of him. SA.

Mark is an amazing artist & musician who has been on both the local music and national festival scenes for years. He is a seasoned veteran who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table.. he's also a beautiful soul and my "Soul Brother" SA.
MARK BURDEN
Album - Bass & Sound Engineer
Mark Burden is another amazing musician who has been on both the local music and national festival scenes for years. He is a qualified sound engineer and his attention to detail is paramount when it comes to recording. He's just awesome really, great privilege to have had Mark onboard with his wit and humour throughout the whole production process from start to finish. Top, top man. SA.
